La mostra documenta il lato più gioioso ed immediato della multiforme attività artistica di Giulio Cumo, la caricatura ed il ritratto “di strada”, che, soprattutto negli anni giovanili, lo hanno reso popolare ed apprezzato ad un pubblico vastissimo e trasversale. Per tutti gli anni Venti e Trenta è stato considerato “la migliore matita di Rimini”.
In seguito si dedicò alla pittura ed alla grafica, ma sempre con la passione e l’entusiasmo disinteressato del “dilettante”, portando avanti in parallelo una ponderosa attività professionale come progettista.
Nel 70° anniversario dello Studio ed in occasione del completamento della nuova sede, la mostra intende rendere un tributo al Fondatore, attraverso un’attività apparentemente scollegata da quella professionale, ma a ben vedere unita ad essa dalla medesima fiducia in uno strumento espressivo che Giulio riteneva fondamentale per la rappresentazione della realtà e del sogno, dell’esistente e del progetto: il disegno.

The exhibition documents the most joyful and immediate side of Giulio Cumo’s manifold artistic activities, caricature and "street" portrait, which, especially in his youth, made him popular and appreciated to a wide and varied public. For all the Twenties and Thirties he was considered "the best pencil in Rimini."
Later, he devoted himself to painting and graphics, but always with the passion and unselfish enthusiasm of the "amateur", carrying out in parallel a ponderous professional career as an architectural designer.
On the 70th anniversary of the Studio and on the occasion of the completion of the new headquarters, the exhibition aims to pay tribute to the Founder through an activity only seemingly disconnected from the professional one, but in hindsight linked to it by the same faith in an expressive tool that Giulio considered crucial to the representation of reality and dream, the existing and the project: the drawing.
